Toniese is a wildcrafter, medicine maker, kitchen witch and herbalist who has been studying and working with plant medicine for over 20 years. She lives with her partner, children and animals on an offgrid homestead in the boreal north where she is devoted to a life and way of being that is in relationship with the land. Her work is rooted in reverence for the natural world and she is passionate about reconnecting others to what is inherently part of our collective human experience, to heal and work with plants. Through her writing, workshops and plant walks, Toniese focuses on teaching practical and accessible ways to harvest and prepare simple wild food and medicines for everyday use. Her goal is to empower others to care for the health and wellness of themselves, their families, communities and the land upon which they stand.
